PBC Policies.

Your Appointment:

If you see an error with your appointment information, please email us immediately at info@powderbeautyco.com. Your appointment booking should include any gel or dip powder removal, extensions, nail art, design and/or add-ons that you plan on getting during your time at Powder Beauty Co. If those items are not included, we will not have the allotted time during your service to perform them.

Please note, as a healthy, natural and nontoxic beauty service provider, we do not remove or work with hard gel or acrylic. 

Cancellations:

Powder Beauty Co. realizes that schedule adjustments are occasionally unavoidable. While we truly do sympathize, the salon cannot absorb the financial responsibility of last minute cancellations. As a boutique salon, we do not double book appointment times, but rather we offer a truly customized experience for every client. Our cancellation policy allows us to guarantee our employees a full day's living wage, and helps us better respect your time and that of other guests.  

Should a cancellation or date change be necessary, we require a minimum 24-hour notice. If an appointment is missed, canceled, downgraded or changed with less than the required notice, the following service charges will apply.

  • Less than 48-hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount, if the appointment is rescheduled at the time of cancellation.

  • Appointments booked within the 24-hour timeframe are considered final and cancellation fees will apply, unless the appointment is canceled within 2 hours of its booking.

  • No shows will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.

This policy applies across the board, whether your appointment was booked online, in person or over the phone. Documented emergencies will be considered on a case by case basis. Please note that multiple and/or reoccurring late cancellations or no-shows will result in discontinuation of any further services at Powder Beauty Co. 


How to Cancel and/or Reschedule Your Appointment:

To cancel and/or reschedule your appointment, please do so directly through our Fresha booking platform and/or email info@powderbeautyco.com.

Late Arrivals:

To ensure the promptness of all reservations, arrival more than 15 minutes past your appointment time will most often automatically result in the cancellation of your appointment [this is at the host’s discretion based on your technician's schedule], and a 50% cancellation fee. Guests who arrive between 5 and 15 minutes late and do not require rescheduling may receive an abbreviated session but will be charged in full for their scheduled service. 

If you arrive late and are able to book another service of equal or greater value that starts within 30 minutes of your originally scheduled appointment, we will see you at the newly booked time and refund the cancellation fee.

Location:

Powder Beauty Co. Los Angeles is located at Row DTLA in the Arts District at 777 S Alameda St. Unit 124, Los Angeles, CA 90021, right outside of downtown Los Angeles proper.

Parking:

Parking in the Row DTLA deck is free for 2 hours. Beyond 2 hours, we can validate. When you see a large gray structure right off of Alameda Street, with the words 'Row, Shop, Dine, & Explore' painted on it, you’re at the right place.

Allow Extra Time:

Please allow a few minutes of additional time to park, and to get from the parking deck to Powder Beauty Co salon. Leaving the parking deck on the ground floor, you'll head into Market Row. Cross the street and walk across the main tree centered courtyard, where you will see Hawkins New York, Kato, and Shopify. Across the street in front of you, you will see the restaurant, Rappahannock Oyster Bar, with white umbrellas outside. On the same side of the street, three doors down to the right, next to Scent Bar and Jean-Pascal Florist, you will see a large purple blade sign welcoming you into Powder Beauty Co. 

Check-in:

Upon arrival, have a seat at either the outdoor or indoor bench. Our host or your technician will greet you within a few minutes time, direct you to your station, and help get you settled in.

Payment:

Powder Beauty Co. accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Powder Beauty Co. gift cards. Cash and checks are not accepted as forms of payment. Please be aware that per our cancellation policy, a valid credit card number is required on file to reserve your appointment

Tips:

Tip your technician with cash or via Venmo to electronically send tips directly to your technician. We do not carry change. 


Medical Conditions:

Powder Beauty Co. requests that confidential disclosure of any pertinent medical conditions be made upon booking via email to info@powderbeautyco.com, so that proper accommodations can be made if necessary (i.e. pregnancy, carpal tunnel, allergies). Health & Safety guidelines prohibit us from working on anyone with a visible communicable illness (i.e. Athlete's foot, nail fungus, etc.)

Preferred Technician:

We understand that when many of our clients book with us, they book with a specific technician. We will try our best to always honor that request. However, there are times when your chosen technician is unavailable. In this instance, we will automatically pair you with the next best fit.

Staff Emergencies:

There are times when one of our nail technicians has a last minute emergency and calls off for the day. This does not happen often, but when it does, we will let you know the moment we find out and do our best to work with you to reschedule your appointment for the same day. If we're unable to get you in on the same day and have to book you further out or cancel altogether, we will discount your next appointment by 15% for the inconvenience. 

Nail Fix, Chips, or Lifting:

After your service, in the event your nails chip or something else goes wrong (within 3 days for standard polish and 7 days for Dazzle Dry high performance polish, gel or dip powder), please email a photo along with the date and time of your appointment to info@powderbeautyco.com to help us resolve the issue.

We stand by our work and guarantee the quality. It is Powder Beauty Co.’s policy not to issue refunds for services rendered, but instead to stand by our product and remedy any legitimate concerns on the affected nails until you are completely satisfied. Providing us with notice outside the 3-7 day period will result in a full charge of our normal fee.
